About ABO Certification
The ABO (American Board of Opticianry) certification demonstrates competency in dispensing ophthalmic eyewear. The exam (NOCE) has 125 multiple-choice questions with a 2-hour time limit. Certification must be renewed every 3 years with continuing education credits.
